Director & Founder
Kia ora, ko Sam tēnei. He uri nō Ngāti Tara, and a proud pāpā from Te Whanganui-ā-Tara, Wellington. I have over a decade of experience in the construction industry, specialising in project management and environmental engineering.
Huia Building Group was born from a vision to bring Māori-owned main contractors to the forefront of the construction arena. Recognising a crucial gap in the market, I embarked on a mission to create a company that not only provides more opportunities for Māori contractors but also delivers high-quality, streamlined projects grounded in core values like whanaungatanga (relationships) and kaitiakitanga (guardianship).
Central to our ethos are delivery, transparency, and effective communication. To ensure this, we've invested in cutting-edge project management tools such as Procore, enabling seamless collaboration and clarity at every stage.
At Huia Building Group, Health and safety, Quality and environmental management is central to our core values. We are currently working towards achieving ISO certification in all three aspects.
